As soon as the world agreements were signed that see Spain as an official member of the WDF federation.

The Spanish Cynological Federation is a federation of purebred dog breeders’ associations, founded in Valencia in 1997, registered in the Second Section of the National and Provincial registers with numbers 2068 and 116 respectively.

The associations that agreed to form the Federation and approve the statutes by which they should be governed are: The CANINE SOCIETY of VALENCIA, the RIOJANA CYNIC ASSOCIATION and the NAVARRE CYNIC ASSOCIATION.

Later, the REIAL SOCIETAT CANINA de CATALUNYA, the CANINE ASSOCIATION of the AUTONOMOUS COMMUNITY of MURCIA, the CINOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION OF ALBACETE, the CANINE ASSOCIATION of CANTABRIA, the CANINE ASSOCIATION «GOS RATER VALENCIA», the CINOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION OF ARAGON, the CANINE AND F. ASSOCIATION OF THE COMMUNITY OF MADRID, the CULTURAL AND SPORTS CINOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION EXPOGAL, the CANINE ASSOCIATION OF THE AUTONOMOUS COMMUNITY OF THE CANARY ISLANDS and the CINOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION BALEAR have been federated.
All of these associations meet a requirement that we would not like to overlook but rather emphasize: All of them, absolutely all of them, meet and therefore have their designation recognized as officially recognized associations by the R.D. 391/92, of April 21 and R.D. 558/01, of May 25, transposing into our internal legal system Directive 91/174/EEC, of March 25, relative to the zootechnical and genealogical standards that regulate the commercialization of purebred animals, are therefore associations OFFICIALLY recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture and by their respective Autonomous Communities to keep genealogical books.

Another important aspect that we want to highlight for general knowledge is that independently of the official recognition of each member association, the legal entity FEDERACIÓN CINOLÓGICA ESPAÑOLA has been granted the appointment by Resolution of the DGG dated August 20, 1997 as an organization or association of purebred dog breeders that keep genealogical books.

All these recognitions legally require all types of national, community or foreign associations to recognize all documentation issued by the FCE, such as pedigrees, titles, championships, judges for both their competitions or exhibitions and for the automatic approval of our genealogical charts.

Our main aim is to group together officially recognised associations within the national territory according to current legislation, to preserve, promote and improve canine breeds and to maintain the Canine Origin Book of Spain. To this end, we coordinate and control breeding in the Spanish territory, defend our interests before the public authorities, coordinate and supervise the work of the autonomous associations, approve and carry out all kinds of procedures related to the canine world, carry out the activities of the Genealogical Book, carry out morphological qualifications, develop assessment tests, national championships at all levels, school and training of canine judges and promote and facilitate studies and research aimed at solving special technical problems in collaboration and in agreement with the competent state and international organisations and research entities.

The Spanish Cynological Federation is also federated in the Spanish Confederation of Autonomous Canine Societies, an entity officially recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food as an association of breeders of purebred dogs that have kept genealogical books since 1997.

We are in a position to legally resolve any problem, procedure or query that is made to us, either directly or through our branches, always respecting current legislation, without bureaucratic problems and without a desire to collect taxes. Let us consult your case and we will resolve it immediately.

We remain at your disposal for whatever you like. We carry out quick procedures and with a high quality of service.
